Futurist of the Me:chine Age | Philosopher of Identity | Founder of Futuremade
Global Gurus Top 30 Futurist | Forbes Top 50 Female Futurist

Tracey Follows is a globally recognised futurist and philosopher of identity, named in the Global Gurus Top 30 Futurists for 2025 alongside William Gibson and Kevin Kelly, and one of Forbes’ Top 50 Female Futurists.

She is the founder of The Me:chine World, a new philosophical framework exploring how humans can remain sovereign, creative, and conscious in the age of intelligent machines. Her work bridges System and Soul — connecting the analytical foresight of systems with the intuitive perception of the self — to redefine what it means to be human in the synthetic century.

As Founder and CEO of Futuremade, Tracey has advised global brands and policymakers — including Virgin, Amazon, Google, Meta, and Coca-Cola — on the social and technological shifts shaping the decades ahead. Her foresight has reached audiences at the United Nations, Cannes Lions, Fortune’s Brainstorm AI, and the Financial Times Global Boardroom, where she is known for her clarity, originality, and human-centred perspective on the future.

She is currently Co-Chair of the Cross-Technology Working Group of the UN/ITU Global Initiative on Virtual Worlds and AI – Discovering the Citiverse, a multi-stakeholder platform launched by the International Telecommunication Union in collaboration with the United Nations International Computing Centre and Digital Dubai. In this role, she is helping to shape policy and vision for the next evolution of digital worlds and human identity in virtual space.

Tracey’s acclaimed book, The Future of You: Can Your Identity Survive 21st-Century Technology?, explores how data, algorithms, and emerging technologies are transforming who we are. Its themes are expanded in her award-winning podcast, The Future of You — winner of Best Technology Show at the Independent Podcast Awards 2023.

She has served as Jury President at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity (inaugural Creative Strategy Lion, 2019) and Eurobest (Innovation and Creative Data, 2018). Tracey’s extensive experience with Big Tech includes presenting The Future of YouTube alongside Matt Brittin at AdWeek and collaborating on Future Visions with Richard Branson. She sat on the Advisory Board of Martha Lane-Fox’s DotEveryone, and is currently on the Advisory Board of the Lifeboat Foundation.

A Visiting Professor of Digital Futures and Identity at Staffordshire University and Guest Lecturer at London Business School, Tracey is also a regular guest futurist on BBC Radio 4’s DOUGH and a Forbes columnist on AI and society. An Associate Fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science, she is a trusted commentator across the BBC, FT, and CNN, where she connects technological foresight with societal impact — helping organisations navigate uncertainty and act with purpose.

Across three decades in strategy, technology, and futures, Tracey Follows has helped leaders and institutions worldwide to see further, think deeper, and act sooner
