2016 — The Augmented Self & the Cyber-Olympics

Publication: Mixed Reality Will Mean All Athletes Become Superhumans, Mediatel Newsline, August 2016.

Prediction: Forecast human optimisation through biology, chemistry, and technology, and the rise of a Cyber-Olympics where augmented athletes redefine competition.

Outcome: Exoskeletons, BCIs, and VR training now transform elite sport. The Enhanced Games (2024) confirm my foresight of a post-human, performance-enhanced era.

2016 — The Future of Intimacy

2016 — The On-Demand Future of Luxury

Publication: The Future of Luxury Brands in an On-Demand World, Campaign Live, October 2016.

Prediction: Predicted luxury’s pivot from ownership to access — subscription, membership, and on-demand models replacing scarcity with personalisation and immediacy.

Outcome: By the mid-2020s, luxury is experiential, data-driven, and service-oriented; brands now sell immersion and identity rather than objects.

2017 — Predictive Policing & Algorithmic Justice

Publication: Future Visions podcast — Can We Use AI to Fight Crime Predictively?, Virgin, 2017.

Publication: Nike’s Retreat into Tribalism Suggests They’re in Trouble, Mediatel Newsline, Sept 2018.

Prediction: Two years before BLM went global, foresaw that ‘taking the knee’ would signal a new social schism — brands exploiting identity politics and moral virtue as marketing tools.

Outcome: Woke capitalism and virtue-signalling dominated the first half of 2020s; moral posturing and victimhood became commodified identities — exactly as predicted.

2019 — AI Newsreaders & Synthetic Anchors

Publication: Futuremade: The New Dimensions of Media, Sky Group, June 2019.

Prediction: Predicted AI anchors would redefine authenticity in journalism.

2021 — Digital Identity & The Future of You

Publication: The Future of You: Can Your Identity Survive 21st-Century Technology? (Elliott & Thompson), March 2021.

Prediction: Declared identity — not data — the defining battleground of the digital age; foresaw deepfakes, digital twins, and algorithmic selves fragmenting who we are.

Outcome: By 2025, digital identity is a global issue — from deepfake laws to EU digital wallets. The book became a blueprint for the age of synthetic identity.

2021 — AI Agents & Synthetic Companions

Publication: The Future of You (2021) + video presentation to London Futurists, 2021.

Publication: A Big Tech Client Event, May 2022.

Prediction: Suggested the next revolution would come from time itself — the idea that the future shapes the past.

Outcome: Retrocausality is now an active topic in physics, philosophy, and foresight culture, fulfilling my boldest metaphysical call.
