Orientation for the Automated World: AAA

Adapt. Anticipate. Author.

A three-part executive leadership programme from Futuremade.

As automation and AI reshape work, systems and decision-making, most organisations focus on tools, productivity and efficiency. This programme focuses on the human capability required to navigate that environment well.

Orientation for the Automated World helps leaders and teams develop three core capacities: the ability to adapt to change, anticipate multiple possible futures, and exercise authorship inside larger systems.

Bringing together adaptability assessment, futures thinking and the System & Self framework, the programme offers a practical and reflective leadership experience for organisations that want their people not just to cope with automation, but to orientate themselves within it.

WHAT THE PROGRAMME DEVELOPS

Adapt

How individuals and teams respond to change, uncertainty and pressure.

Participants explore adaptability as a measurable leadership capability, gaining a clearer understanding of current strengths, limits and behavioural patterns.

Anticipate

How leaders think in plural futures rather than relying on a single forecast.

Participants learn to move beyond linear prediction and explore multiple possible futures shaped by automation, AI and wider social, cultural and economic shifts.

Author

How teams understand the systems they operate inside, identify where agency still exists, and shape what they will pursue, protect, refuse or change.

Using the System & Self lens, this final part focuses on authorship, judgement and choice inside automated environments.
